DORCHESTER, MA — The Ramada Inn by Wyndham Boston caught fire Sunday afternoon in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood.
The hotel was evacuated shortly after 2:30 p.m. while fire crews responded to a fire that broke out on the second floor.
The fire department says no one was injured and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Companies worked to contain the fire to one room inside the hotel, but there is water and smoke damage to other parts of the building, the Boston Fire Department said Sunday.
As of Monday morning, it is still unclear how many people were staying in the hotel, and the building inspector has not yet said how many people have been displaced from the fire.
The damage to the hotel is currently estimated at $75,000.
