Mark J. Zavatsky, of Queen Street, was charged with criminal attempt at third-degree larceny; possession of burglary tools; and fourth-degree criminal mischief. The incident began at about 1:30 a.m. when Newtown police were alerted to the pharmacy by a broken glass alarm at the drive-thru.
