Arlington Resident Named VP Of Addiction Treatment At Nonprofit

NATICK, MA — The Association for Behavioral Healthcare, a statewide nonprofit organization representing 80 community-based providers, has named Arlington resident Jonna Hopwood its vice president for addiction treatment services. Hopwood brings more than 30 years of professional experience to her new role leading the nonprofit's advocacy mission for substance use disorder treatment and recovery services. She will also support providers' operational needs related to contractual, regulatory, payment and technological initiatives. "A strong advocacy program for our members, led by seasoned professionals, is central to ABH's mission," said Lydia Conley, president and CEO of ABH. "We are excited to have Jonna's wealth of experience to support these efforts on behalf of our community-based behavioral healthcare providers on the front line of fighting the overdose crisis." Hopwood previously served as the compliance and privacy officer at Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services. She was also director of addiction services at Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership, where she worked collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure the ongoing implementation of evidence based treatments, expand access to services and support care coordination and improved integration with primary care. Hopwood is a licensed social worker and earned her law degree from New England Law – Boston, a master's in social work degree from Boston College and a bachelor's degree from Drew University in New Jersey.
