Press release from the City of Austin: January 21, 2022 Case: 22-0050523 Date: Wednesday January 5, 2022 Time: 1:30 a.m. Location: 2239 Cromwell Circle (Patten East Apartments) The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit is requesting the community's help identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery that occurred in the parking lot of the Patten East Apartments on Cromwell Circle in Southeast Austin. The Hispanic or Black male suspect pointed a gun at the victim while walking his dog and demanded his property. The suspect then fled on foot with the victim's property. Two suspects were later seen using the victim's credit cards at a store in the area. The suspects and vehicle description are below. Suspect #1 described as: Hispanic man 30-40 years of age 5' 6", heavy build Shaved dark hair Suspect #2 described as: White man 25-35 years of age Tall, thin build Mustache Suspect Vehicle: Possibly a Green or Blue older-model Ford Explorer with a distinct roof rack Photo of suspects: Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the APD Robbery tip line at (512) 974-5092, Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS or use the new Crime Stoppers App. You can also submit tips by downloading APD's mobile app, Austin PD, for free on iPhone and Android.
