Press release from the City of Austin: January 21, 2022 Case: 21-5037577 Date: January 21, 2022 Time: 10:00 a.m. Location: Rolling Hills Drive, Buda, TX Missing: Hillary Salcedo, Hispanic female, 14-years-old Suspect: Hector Avila, Hispanic male, 28-years-old The Austin Police Department (APD) Missing Persons Unit is requesting the public's help locating 14-year-old Hillary Salcedo. Salcedo was reported missing from Rolling Hills Drive in Buda on January 20, 2022, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Salcedo's last known location was in Austin on Thursday, January 20, 2022. An AMBER Alert was issued Thursday night. We are concerned about her immediate welfare. She is believed to be accompanied by 28-year-old Hector Avila. If you see Salcedo or Avila, please call 9-1-1 immediately. Photos and descriptions are below: Hillary Salcedo: 5'4", 105 lbs, brown eyes and red hair.
