Here are the top 3 stories in Providence today: Leaked findings from a federal inspection of Eleanor Slater Hospital showed deficiencies, including a failure to meet the requirements for Medicare dollars. Other deficiencies cited in the report range from lack of infection control to patient safety concerns. It's unclear what the repercussions will be. (The Providence Journal) A Providence man is facing a murder charge after police say he stabbed another man to death this past August. The Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Marcus Jones, 32, in connection to the stabbing death of Kenneth McClain. Jones is also charged with conspiracy and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 9. (WPRI.com) Fire crews responded to a fire on 95 North in Providence early Monday morning. An investigator was on the scene of the fire, however, the cause still remains unknown. One man had minor injuries from the fire, the Providence Fire Department said.
