PHILADELPHIA — A 23-year-old son of a Philadelphia Police officer was shot and killed early Monday in an apparent robbery, according to reports. The incident occurred at about 4:45 a.m. on the 1400 block of West Allegheny Avenue, NBC10 reports. According to Action News, preliminary reports say the victim, who has not been identified nor has his parent who is an officer, was shot at least nine times while getting in or out of a vehicle at a nearby McDonald's. The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he died from his injuries, Fox 29 reports. Anyone with information on the fatal shooting should contact Philadelphia Police at 215-686-8477.
