Description
JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department has obtained a felony warrant for the arrest of a 53-year-old Chicago Heights man who police say stole cash from the Joliet Walmart store on West Jefferson Streets last Sept. 23.
Last week, Will County prosecutors charged Geoffrey Robinson with burglary and theft. Will County Judge Art Smigielski issued the warrant for Robinson's arrest and set bail at $100,000.
The criminal complaint states that Robinson entered the Joliet Walmart last Sept. 23 intending to commit a theft. The theft charge states that Robinson took control over U.S. currency at the Joliet Walmart valued at more than $500 but less than $10,000.
The Will County warrants website indicated that Robinson lived in the 300 block of East 13th Street. No mugshot of Robinson was available.
