I'm seeking a permanent replacement for my flexible ensemble "Zighi Baci" or "Gypsy Kisses." I usually book my versatile duo but I also book a larger ensemble with mandolin and/or guitar. I am accordionist and accommpsnist whose performed for several decades in the Bay Area. I am seeking a tenor to replace the loss of a tenor during the Covid pandemic. You MUST BE fully vaccinated with proof of vaccination and booster. This vocalist should possess a background singing in Italian, Neapolitan and French repertoire. Many of the songs derive from the late 1880s and well into the 1960s popular Italian ("Mambo Italiano") and French music ("Aux Champs-Elysées"). Italian composers might include Di Capua, Bixio, Mescoli, Salve d'Esposito, Cottrau, E.A. Mario, Renato Rascel, DiPaoli-Taccani, Eldo di Lazzaro, Verdi, Cesare Cesarini, Luigi Denza, Nino Rota etc and traditional Italian: "Bella Ciao", "La Biondina", "C'e La Luna O'Mezzo Mare", "Terra Straniera" French composers and vocalists would include anything from Edith Piaf songbook, Charles Trenet, Jacques Brel, Josse Padilla, Offenbach, Georges Van Parys, Andres Mares American standards would be helpful: Cole Porter, Kurt Weill, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern etc Please email your repertoire as an excel spreadsheet, if possible. Include your background and experience. Language skills and venues where you may have performed.
