The Fulfillment Assistant works with a team to ensure that orders are fulfilled promptly. The position also helps to receive and partway inventory from our vendors and assists with inventory audits. The Fulfillment Assistant should be an efficient worker with a good attention to detail. They must be able to work independently and meet regular shipping deadlines while ensuring product is delivered to the customer in a safe and timely fashion. The work takes place in a busy environment that is not climate con-trolled.
West Coast Sailing is a small business with a team of hard-working staff members. This position is a great fit for someone who is hungry to work hard each day in pursuit of our mission to help our customers spend more time on the water.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Pick, pack, and ship orders in a timely, economical, and safe manner.
• Meet daily shipping deadlines
• Assist in in receiving inventory and returns
• Help maintain an accurate inventory audit
• Work with managers to organize backstock and keep clean
• Work with Inventory manager to protect inventory assets from damage, loss and theft
Other tasks may include
• Assist the Rigging Department with production orders and kitting
• Assist Boat Sales with some assembly and shipment preparation
• Help keep inventory shelves and showroom stocked
• Work with Inventory Manager to label and price inventory
• Other tasks as needed
Prerequisites
• Ability to lift 40lbs
• Strong computer skills
• High-school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver’s license and insurable
• Sailing and/or small boat experience is not required
• Full Time – Mon-Fri with opportunity for occasional weekend work
• PTO, paid holidays and sick leave
• Company-sponsored health insurance and retirement
Compensation up to $15.50 hour, DOE
