The Production Associate is responsible for sail number production and sail installation at West Coast Sailing. Additionally, they assist our Rigging Department with the production of a wide range of spliced and/or swaged sailboat rigging products. The Production Associate should be an efficient worker with a good attention to detail. They must be able to work independently and meet daily and weekly deadlines. The work takes place in a busy environment that is not climate controlled. Instruction and training will be provided, and relevant work experience is not required. West Coast Sailing is a small business with a team of hard-working staff members. This position is a great fit for someone who is hungry to work hard each day in pursuit of our mission to help our customers spend more time on the water. Primary Responsibilities: ● Producing sail numbers from raw material using a hydraulic clicker press ● Sail number installation on a to-order basis ● Basic rigging work including whippings, stitching, splices, and swaging ● Kitting and light assembly work Other Responsibilities: ● Assist the Fulfillment Department with cutline as well as picking and packing orders ● Assist the Boat Sales team with rigging and shipping tasks as needed Measures of Success: ● Consistent, high-quality work ● A safe and organized work environment Qualifications: ● Ability/desire to work with hands ● High-school diploma or equivalent preferred ● Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, and bend over a workbench ● Knowledge and/or passion for sailing is desired but not required for an eager candidate interested in learning a new set of skills ● Desire to produce quality products that excite our customers Compensation and Benefits: ● Competitive compensation ● Company-sponsored health insurance, SIMPLE IRA with match ● Paid time off (two weeks PTO + six paid holidays + one-week sick time) $15.50/hourly, DOE Send us your resume and let us know why you'd be a good fit! sail/ sailing/ sailboat/ boats/ kayak/ kayking/ outdoor/ retail/ outdoorstore
