The Flatirons Jazz Orchestra has an opening for Lead Trumpet. If you can hit the high notes and LOVE big band jazz, this may be for you. Rated "Best Big Band in Denver" and "One of the 10 Best Jazz Bands in Colorado," FJO is a working 18-piece big band (5/4/4/4) that captures the romance and excitement of the Swing Era: Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Stan Kenton, Gene Krupa, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Diane Schuur, Buddy Rich, and more. This band works a LOT, but travel is limited to the Front Range.
