Look, despite the gravity of this pandemic many of us are not 100% compliant with safety protocols because, quite frankly they suck; masks on and multiple jabs are nobody's idea of a good time. Those who've decided to follow recommendations are trying to influence those who've chosen otherwise to follow their lead, and that's not exactly working out for anybody. So, what's the answer; let it thin the herd of those who've chosen not to protect themselves and send sympathy cards or try to force vaccinations on to those whose minds aren't likely to change? The answer is of course, neither. Some form of COVID will likely be in our world for a very long time and consequently so will death, vaccinations, masks and other preventative measures. Some of us will try to avoid it, some will get it and never know while others will get it and become horribly ill. Oh, and some will die. It's looking like our world is irreversibly changed by COVID-19 and its ever burgeoning variants and we need to embrace that reality. Whatever you choose, I hope it works out for you. And humanity.
