Shawsheen seeks a Class A CDL Semi-Truck Driver to join their team in Andover, MA.  As a Truck Driver, you will drive a 58-foot tractor-trailer between our two facilities in Lowell and Andover, MA. Occasionally, travel to our warehouse in Monson, MA may be needed. No overnights. The driver will review inventory prior to delivery and assist with loading and unloading trucks. This position will also assist with material handling, wrapping material, and weighing items as needed.  SCHEDULE This is a full-time position working 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with possible overtime.  COMPENSATION Starting wage dependent on knowledge and experience, as well as a $1,000 sign-on bonus.  BENEFITS Shawsheen offers an excellent benefits package after 90 days of employment, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays and sick time, and eligibility for 401 K after 6 months. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED AS OUR TRUCK DRIVER. *Possess a valid Class A CDL, current medical card, and meet required DOT employment qualifications. *Minimum 2 years experience operating a trailer truck. *Forklift experience required. *Possess a physical ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.) with assistance, secure and tarp loads with straps, chains, or other fasteners, and climb up and down from our fleet vehicles and trailers. *Ability to sit for extended periods of time while driving day trips. *Knowledge and ability to perform required DOT pre and post-trip truck and trailer inspections including checking for proper vehicle gross and axle weights before leaving on delivery. *Hazmat license, a plus. *Ability to maintain a legal driver’s log in accordance with state and federal regulations. *Possess an exceptional work ethic and top-notch customer service skills. *You are organized, energetic, reliable, and work well individually and as a team member. *You work well under time constraints and can ensure deadlines are met.
