Today, pies are the darlings of her locally-focused restaurants.  Valeri's recipes and pies have been featured in Food and Wine magazine, Travel and Leisure magazine, O Magazine, Time Out Chicago, Time Out USA, Milwaukee Magazine, OnMilwaukee.com, Milwaukee Journal Sentinal, Wisconsin Public Radio and the Discovery Channel's United States of Bacon.  When she is not baking pies she can be found sampling bourbon with her husband and playing records for her dogs.
