Discover the history of Lee-Fendall House when it was a Civil War hospital with displays and living history demonstrations. Visit the Lee-Fendall House for a day of living history demonstrations and discover the experiences of staff and patients at Lee-Fendall when it was a Union hospital during the Civil War. The Lee-Fendall House was the site of the first and only successful blood transfusion during the Civil War. Entry is on the half hour from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and advance registration is required. Face masks must be worn indoors. Admission is $10 for adults (age 18+) and $5 for students (age 5-17).  The Lee-Fendall House is a showcase of American history from three different centuries. Since its construction in 1785, the house has served as home to thirty-seven members of the Lee family, hundreds of convalescing Union soldiers during the American Civil War, and one of our nation’s most controversial and significant 20th century labor leaders, John L. Lewis.
