Join us for VU's 8th Anniversary with Kennedy Krieger Institute! We'll be assembling blankets for children at the institute. It's VU's 8th birthday and for February's event we are going back to where it all began to work with Kennedy Krieger Institute to make blankets for the children at the institute. In past years, we were able to spread out and craft the blankets at KKI, and as of last year, we were able to hold this event as a take-home option, too. This year, we're doing both! We'll be celebrating our birthday, making the blankets, and #voluntbeering all at Ministry of Brewing. If you'd like to participate but are not yet comfortable being at an indoor event, we will have take-home kits for the blanket project available on Saturday, February 5 at Ministry of Brewing, and then you'll drop off your finished blankets on #SecondSaturday, February 12, at Ministry of Brewing. Be sure to select the in-person or at-home ticket checkout. Pick up of take-home kits at Ministry of Brewing on 2/5 will be from 12-3p Drop off of take-home kits at Ministry of Brewing on 2/12 will be from 10a-1p When registering, the number of tickets you choose will be the number of blanket kits you receive (you can select a maximum of 3). To make each blanket, we anticipate you'll need about 30 minutes if you're working with a partner and 45 minutes if you're on your own. And what's a birthday party without drinks? We encourage everyone to purchase beers at the brewery for a special cheers during our event and, if you'd like, you can purchase an item from Kennedy Krieger's wishlist.
