Rosie the Rescue Needs a Forever Home!

Description

Rosie the rescue is looking for a forever home! We believe Rosie is a Rottweiler mix of some sort--I mean, just look at how gorgeous those markings are! Don't let that put you off, though: she weighs about 25 pounds and is small enough for me to easily pick up and load into the car. I'm guessing she's about three years old. Rosie is an absolutely incredible little dog who is good with both dogs and children, and I assume cats, too. I was asked by a friend of a friend to come pick Rosie up about two weeks ago. They had heard that I used to rescue dogs, so when they saw their neighbors mistreating the neighborhood stray, they knew it was time for her to move on to some place better. Rosie was being hit and chased with dirt bikes, and she is definitely too sweet of a girl for that! I have kept her with me for two weeks to make sure she is healthy, friendly, and gained some weight. She would make the perfect family dog! She loves hanging out and laying quietly on my bed while I read, but she also loves racing around the dog park at mach speed! Rosie is a self-proclaimed fetch champion, walks on a leash like a pro, and has been doing absolutely spectacular with her house training! Rosie has come leaps and bounds with her training, but does need supervision while out and about in the house. She's still learning how to be a house dog, as it seems she's been left outside most of her life. (You should have seen her the first night I let her lay in my bed--she was in dog heaven!) I would really like for her to go to a home where someone is home most of the time and either has other dogs or children, because she has LOTS of energy and deserves to be played with, petted, and held all the time! Her patience knows no bounds, and she'll put up with just about anything and anyone. She's a bit shy at first, but once she warms up, you'll have a friend for life. If you're looking for a loving, genuinely friendly dog with the spirit and playfulness of a puppy but without the trial and error of adopting a puppy, Rosie would make an excellent companion for you!
