Join us for a fun filled afternoon with your family and pets !! There will be food, drinks, contests, prizes and a parade! Mardi Gras 4 Paws, inspired by the Bacchus Parade in New Orleans, comes to Frisco on February 26, 2022 with its own version of Mardi Gras for our four-legged friends ! Hosted by the Town of Frisco, Hope For Animals-Clear Creek Rescue and The Lost Cajun Restaurant. This event will have a costumed parade for dogs and thier families. All proceeds benefit the rescue pets of Hope For Animals-Clear Creek Rescue. Schedule of Events · 2:30pm – Registration begins and dogs and their humans converge on 3rd Avenue between Main Street and the alley · 2:30pm-4:00pm- Yappy Hour- Enjoy listening to festive Mardi Gras music while you sip New Belgium beer, wine or coffee or hot chocolate during Yappy Hour. The Lost Cajun will donate delicious gumbo and beignets and we did not forget the pooches…we sell our own version of bottled Doggie Beer too! Even if you don’t have a mutt, come join the fun as a spectator. · 3:00pm- The parade starts and travels down Main Street from 3rd Avenue to 7th Avenue along the sidewalk and back up the other side of the street for full viewing of the colorful canines and their entourage. · 3:30pm- Canine Costume Contest- Following the parade, prizes will be awarded for dogs in costumes only, for a King and Queen along with a full court of winners. There is also a “Belinda’s Best” category to commemorate the late Belinda Griffin, who inspired this event Hope For Animals-Clear Creek Rescue is a 501(c)(3), all volunteer, foster home based rescue.  Our mission is to help lost and suffering animals through rescue, shelter and public education.  We will raise and hold funds for those not able to speak for themselves.  Working alone or with other rescue organizations, shelters and animal welfare groups, we will be their advocates for rehoming, veterinary services and humane treatment, regardles of species, breed or age.
