Just under 5 miles this trail starts at the Visitor Center at the Glenwood Ave. entrance of William B. Umstead State Park. Should be pretty easy going with not many hills- I mean this is Raleigh after all! Dog friendly- just make sure your dog is leashed (the rangers in Umstead are diligent).
