Exit 56 Blues fest is the celebration of the lives and legacy of the Country Blues tradition and Brownsville's Blues Pioneers. Held annually in the hometown of Blues Pioneers Sleepy John Estes, Hammie Nixon and Yank Rachell, Brownsville Tennessee celebrates their contributions to the Blues industry. Live performances begin at 10 am and continue until 6 pm, Saturday, May 28., and again Sunday, May 29 from 11 am -5 pm. Attendees are asked to practice social distancing whenever possible and while the event is help outdoors, please consider wearing a face coverings while in close proximity to others and inside buildings. Arts and Crafts vendors will also be on site. You are welcome to explore the museums inside the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center, as well as the Tina Turner Museum (we're her hometown, too). Please be advised face coverings are encouraged while inside the buildings. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets for comfortable seating and enjoy the grounds. Coolers are discouraged as we have a beer vendor on site. Honoring the music of Brownsville Blues pioneers Sleepy John Estes, Hammie Nixon and Yank Rachell. The event features live Blues from the porch of the "Sleepy" John Estes home, arts and crafts, food, cruise-in car show and corvette car show. Located on Tennessee's Music Highway (Interstate 40 at Exit 56) in Brownsville, Tenn., on the grounds of the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center.
