Why it matters: Families do not need to worry about their student's attendance being impacted because they have to stay at home due to COVID-19. Families must communicate with their campus about absences. Yes, but: State law requires all students to attend in person for at least 90% of the time, excused or unexcused, to earn credit for the course. What they're saying: "We will not be keeping children from going to the next grade level because they had to stay out because of unusual circumstances at home," said Superintendent Stephanie S.
