Our team is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to manage various projects. As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all of the activities of the construction sites according to project blueprints and schedule plans. Your job duties will include the following: • Hire/Supervise Sub-contractors as well as in-house construction staff, including work schedules, project progress, resource allocation; provide constructive feedback • Communicate and negotiate with external partners, such as vendors and Sub-contractors • Collaborate with Engineers, Sub-contractors, Architects and Management team to determine project needs, budgets and timelines, and oversee performance. • Set performance goals and deadlines • Plan construction processes • Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials and other project costs, and ensure the project is on budget • Plan/attend inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities • Implement safety and quality guidelines • Order appropriate equipment and materials and coordinate delivery with vendors and suppliers • Keep track of and oversee material stock, orders and equipment maintenance • Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly • Resolve on-site issues and emergencies • Assess new properties and projects Qualifications: ** Previous commercial Construction Superintendent experience a MUST** *In-depth understanding of HVAC, electric, plumbing, and Ground-up construction a MUST* • Must be willing to commute between jobsites regularly; located in Los Angeles, Victorville and the Central Coast • Proficiency in reading blue prints and plans • Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites • In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes • Excellent organizational, time-management and communication skills • Strong leadership qualities • Able to work in fast-paced, environment dealing with multiple team members If you are organized, able to work well under pressure and have experience in this field, we’d like to meet you.
