Rhodes Player - Jazz, etc.

Hello! I am a guitar player looking to get something going with a like-minded Rhodes player. Influences: Herbie Hancock, Ramsey Lewis, Wah-Wah Watson, Grant Green, Stuff (band), Neo-Soul, Classic R&B, hard bop, soul jazz, funk, etc. What I'm imagining: We get together and play through some simple jazz/R&B standards using a couple of real books. We could just take turns comping, etc. If it sounds good, I have a few connections for playing out. Just imagining chill, improvisational music. Depending on how things go, maybe recruit a drummer/bassist. But no hurry. About me: 40 / teacher / play in a couple of country bands with a few shows on the calendar / decent player, and trying to become a better jazz player & improviser I can host and my family and I are vaccinated. I'd like to wait for pandemic things to mellow out a bit before we actually get together at our house. Just want to get the ball rolling. Thanks for looking!
