Grounds / Maintenance Position for Small Condo Community

We seek a motivated and experienced individual with the skills to assist with maintenance of the appearance and condition of grounds, equipment, and common areas of the property. This is a part-time position, 18 hours per week, specific hours to be determined.   Working under the direction of the Site Manager, duties include light custodial work, maintaining common areas and laundry facility; assisting with maintenance and replacement of stair treads, lanai decks, and wood siding; painting; power washing walkways, drainage control for water runoff, seasonal tree trimming, weeding/invasive plant control, maintaining and replacing ornamental plantings to keep the resort looking its best.   Necessary skills include familiarity with safe operation and use of hand and power tools; experience with mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning techniques. Stamina and time management skills are necessary. Ability to interact with Site Manager, resort residents, guests, and contractors courteously and professionally is also required. Basic familiarity with native and invasive plant species preferred. Pay $24/ hour, with bonus after successful completion of 6 months employment. No housing or relocation pay included. Drug and background checks required.
