Signing bonus!! Start Date: Hiring now for immediate start Overview: Compost Micro-hauler, Part-Time Company: Compost micro-hauling and processing company in Manhattan. Our goal is to eliminate as much waste from landfills as we can. We do this by partnering with restaurants, QSR and real estate buildings in Manhattan to collect food scraps and divert them from landfills by composting the material. The position: We are seeking a micro-hauler for compost collection routes in Manhattan using a van or truck. The current position is for night time work only, starting at 7-8pm ending when the route is complete (3-6 hrs). Shifts will be 2 - 4 days per week. We run these routes 7 days per week, including weekends. Additional hours and days will come available over the next few weeks. Starting pay is $23 per hour on the weekdays Mon-Thurs and $25 per hour Fri-Sun. Depending on your existing skill set, there may be room to grow into other areas of the company. Responsibilities include: * Driving safely around Manhattan at night. * Collecting and handling food scraps in large bins and moving on and off vehicle. * Working independently and efficiently, mostly without supervision. * Punctuality expected * Following Standard Operating Procedures for equipment maintenance * Hauling up to 600 lb of compost per route in a vehicle provided to you. * Following all safety procedures. * Complete all routes assigned barring any emergencies. We have a zero missed pick ups standard.
 Requirements & Qualifications: *You must have valid drivers license. *You must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. *Feel comfortable driving around Manhattan at night. *Physical ability to lift and carry bags up to 40 lbs for short distances. *Comfortable handling food scraps. *Able to problem solve and ask for help when needed. *Able to take direction well and adapt with changes. *Commitment to finish every route assignment without issue. *Comfortable and able to efficiently work alone. Experience: No experience necessary. Knowledge of or interest in compost preferred. Supervision/Support:  This position will work closely with the Operations Manager and other haulers time to time.
