Welcome to the 9th annual Heart & Soul Charity Climbing Competition! Since 2014, it's been our honor to organize and host the annual Heart & Soul Climbing Competition to raise money for the fight against cancer. After working with pandemic restrictions last year, we’re excited to return to our usual one-day format and climb together again in 2022! The 9th annual Heart & Soul Climbing Competition will be held on February 26th 2022 at the DBC's flagship Central Denver location. You won’t want to miss it! Heart & Soul is a fun, inclusive competition for climbers of all levels. Come try some cool boulder problems and support a worthy cause! Spectators are also welcome. This will be our 3rd year giving locally to the University of Colorado Cancer Center. We have two objectives in mind for our 2022 donation: advancing cancer research through the Investigator-Initiated Trials Fund and providing financial support to patients, families and caregivers in need through the Patient Assistance Fund. So far, each Heart & Soul has raised more money than the last, and we hope to continue that trend in 2022. We celebrated an exciting milestone last year when our event total surpassed $100k! Without our amazing community of climbers, none of this would be possible. We’re so grateful to have you involved. Event Schedule: 7:30am - Doors open and registration begins for Block 1 8:00am - Climbing begins for Block 1 11:00am - Climbing ends for Block 1 11:00am - Climbing begins for Block 2 (registration opens 10:30am) 2:00pm - Climbing ends for Block 2 2:00pm - Climbing begins for Block 3 (registration opens 1:30pm, OPEN competitors must compete in Block 1 or 2) 3:00pm - Finalists announced via Instagram 5:00pm - Climbing ends for Block 3 5:00pm - Isolation area for finalists opens 5:30pm - Raffle at Colorado Cider Company 6:00pm - Isolation area for finalists closes 7:00pm - Open Finals  8:30pm - Awards The Denver Bouldering Club offers a premium climbing experience for beginners and experts alike at three convenient Denver Metro locations. Our gyms host over 35,000 square feet of bouldering terrain featuring some of the best routesetting in the region. We’re a supportive community of climbers with deep roots in the city we call home, and though we’ve come a long way from our co-op origins back in 2009, our mission hasn’t changed. Wherever you want to go with climbing, we want to help you get there. So whether you’re looking for a fun way to build fitness or a place to train for your next outdoor objective, as long as you’re interested in vertical movement you’ll fit right in at the DBC!
