Missing Cockatiel!

We had a lot of confusion at the house earlier with an elderly disabled mother-in-law and her two dogs (one that keeps darting away at every opportunity) sooo… the back door was open for a minute with my wife standing there and Salty the cockatiel uncharacteristically made a dash for freedom. While I imagine he thought that was a great idea at the time, I’m sure he’s having second thoughts now! He’s extremely tame, hopefully he’ll fly down to somebody’s shoulder. In the meantime we are looking hard. Kind of tough when we back up to 1200 acres of junipers in Juniper Ridge. So I guess Salty‘s return is up to the universe, we have a cage set out back with food in it so that and high hopes of his return, we are hopeful.
