This tour will discuss and explore all of the Dallas County Freedman Towns pre and post-reconstruction(1850-1877) Welcome all ethnic groups This Black history motorcoach tour will explore all known local Freedman Towns of Dallas county..Your tour will be guided by a 5th generation native, George Keaton, Jr., Ph.D. of Dallas, Texas. Dr. Keaton will guide passengers through the social dynamics and complexities of the Jim Crow era and Freedman towns within various areas of Dallas. Seating on our 52 passenger bus will be limited to a total of 40 passengers to follow current CDC COVID-19 guidelines. There will be a lunch stop for you to purchase lunch or bring your lunch if needed. We will explore the legacy of Freedman towns in Dallas County
