Want to learn how to use a saw, but not interested in losing a finger? This class is for you! Cut and Measure Basics introduces you to the tools and techniques to safely cut materials such as 2x4's and sheets of plywood. You will learn the importance of accurate measurement through hands on experience reading a tape measure, learning how and where to make a mark, using a speed square to improve time and accuracy. You will perform multiple cuts with a circular saw, miter saw and a jig saw. Finally, we will bring together tools, blades, materials and cutting techniques to help you consistently make accurate cuts and limit waste or mistakes.
