The Church is the very way that Jesus wants us to enter into and live His life. The Church is founded on the stone which the builders rejected, the corner-stone of Jesus Christ. It is on this corner-stone that the foundation of the apostles was laid. Yet there is someone whom our Lord allowed to participate in his reality as corner-stone and he made this clear by changing his name to Rock. In this session, we will explore this theme of foundation by focusing on the explicit statement of Jesus to Simon that “You are Rock, and upon this Rock I will build my Church.”
