Parranderos Latin Combo sails through The Ship on tour for a fun night of high energy Latino styles sure to make you get up and dance. Doors 9pm ~ Showtime 10pm ~ $10adv ~ $10dos Parranderos Latin Combo (PLC) is signed with Toque Music, Inc an independent label and management company out of Des Moines, Iowa. PLC is composed of prolific musicians residing in Des Moines, Minneapolis, Kansas City (USA), Medellin (Colombia), Ponce (Puerto Rico), Guadalajara (Mexico), Casa Blanca (Morocco), Viña del Mar (Chile), Rosario (Argentina) and Santo Domingo (Ecuador). PLC is organized to have 6 weeks tours 3 to 4 times per year. Members are music scholars, professors and professionals in their own cities and come together for the highest quality music recordings and live performances, playing only hit songs. The group’s self-titled debut album includes 9 original songs written in Iowa and recorded in San Juan, Puerto Rico by Grammy award-winning engineers Ramon Martinez and Carlos Velazquez. This collaboration between the 14 musicians from South America, The Caribbean, and the Midwest, was funded in part by the Iowa Arts Council and the National Endowment for The Arts. Exploring musical styles such as Salsa, Cumbia, Samba and more, Parranderos Latin Combo keeps Latin music alive and diverse in Iowa and beyond.
