Join DHT's resident baker, Lucia Meneses for a baking workshop at the historic Hampton House in Brownsville! Join Dade Heritage Trust resident baker and School Programs Manager Lucia Meneses for this baking workshop in one of Miami-Dade County’s most historic and lovely venues. Workshop starts at 9 am, runs until noon and includes a tour of the Hampton House, once a Green Book motel and now a museum and community center. Participants create their own baked goods inspired by the venue and under the direction of Ms. Meneses. Continental breakfast and a goodie bag from DHT are also in included. Dade Heritage Trust is headquartered at 190 SE 12 Terrace, in one of Miami's oldest buildings (circa 1905), which once served as the original office of Dr. James Jackson. Yes, he has a hospital named after him! For over 40 years, DHT has been Miami's leading voice for architectural, environmental and cultural preservation.  We appreciate your support!
