RIDGEFIELD, CT — The school board will hold its first workshop for the 2022-23 budget this Saturday, Jan. 22.
Superintendent Susie Da Silva presented her $107.4 million spending plan to the Board of Education on Jan. 10.
Factors driving the proposed budget include a 90-student increase in enrollment in the 2021-22 school year, new trends in special education, an increase in students with disabilities and a focus on mental health needs. The proposed budget represents a 4.98 percent increase over the current spending plan.
The meeting will run from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. according to the agenda, published online here. It will be open to the public and viewable on the district's YouTube channel here.
