Press release from City of Fort Worth: January 21, 2022 Rising Stars Youth Leadership Academy gives youth ages 12-18 the career development, leadership and life skills they need to succeed. The winter session of Rising Stars is underway at Worth Heights Community Center, 3551 New York Ave. The program meets 6-7:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday through Feb. 24. Program sessions will include a trip to Mineral Wells State Park; tour of TCU; money management presented by Frost Bank; the art of public speaking, with a $100 gift card awarded for best speaking presentation; social media awareness; purpose workshop; mental health first aid and more. Academy memberships are $30; scholarship opportunities are available. The spring session will be conducted March 22-May 19.
