CONCORD, NH — Chichester police and fire and rescue teams as well as regional mutual aid were sent to Route 4 for an accident on Friday.
Around 4:45 p.m., first responders were sent to Dover Road, near Super Shoes, for a crash with entrapment. A few minutes later, Concord firefighters and Loudon EMTs were also requested to assist.
The first arriving firefighters confirmed one person was entrapped and capital region dispatch said it might be a bit of time since the Concord firefighters were coming from the Penacook Manor station.
At just past 5 p.m., firefighters began extrication of the driver and returned to service a short time later.
Battalion command requested a trauma alert at Concord Hospital for a woman in her 50s with at least one fractured leg, possibly two, and a fractured arm.
EMTs transported the woman to the hospital a few minutes later.
Traffic was reportedly backed up for miles.
