He specializes in minimally invasive primary joint replacement, anterior hip replacement, complex primary and revision joint replacement, and robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery. He is a leading expert in diagnosing and treating hip and knee injuries, such as osteoarthritis, post traumatic arthritis and hip dysplasia. Dr. Chakour uses a multidisciplinary, comprehensive approach that includes non-operative management as well as surgical intervention. Activity modification, medication, physical therapy, bracing, injections and pain management are common nonsurgical treatments, with surgery as a last option. Following surgery, Dr. Chakour works closely with your physical therapist and care team to ensure continuity of care. Your post-operative therapy plan is designed to improve pain, swelling, range of motion, restore strength, and return you to an active lifestyle.
