Press release from the City of Mentor: January 21st, 2022 Residents are advised that the USDA will be performing an aerial survey of deer herds throughout the city the week of January 23, 2022 as a part of the Mentor's Deer Management Program.  The aim of the program is to maintain herds at sustainable levels and the result has been a marked reduction in traffic accidents as well as improved biodiversity throughout the city. Please do not be alarmed if you see a helicopter flying low or hovering over your neighborhood, and to only call 911 if you are experiencing an emergency.
