70ish White man at Smith's 4th Street

I am a 66-year-old, retired white man, and you were in the checkout line with me. We were exchanging small talk (How Bout Dem Bears?). The line was growing, and the lady from the self-check asked if she could take the next in line. You went with her. I continued in the normal line, paid up, then continued out to the car. You were coming out at the same time. We talked for a bit, then went about our business. On the way home, it occurred to me that you had waited for me, and I was too stupid to realize that you were trying to become better acquainted. I should have been more perceptive. If you see this, maybe you should try again...
