No experience necessary. Must be able to speak English and pass a Background and Drug Screening The Cleaner provides the cleaning and upkeep of all assigned areas including the following task: clean restrooms, replenish restrooms, empty trash, empty recycle bins, clean desks where applicable, clean tables in conference rooms, vacuum offices and common areas, clean interior glass, clean drinking fountains, dust partitions, cabinets and vents, mop floors, clean elevators/shine stainless steel. Operate chemical dispensing units. Accurately measure chemicals that are not provided in dispenser form. Key Responsibility Performs general sweeping, scrubbing, mopping of floors Vacuums all carpeting, including administrative offices, door mats and entry door ways Cleans carpets, performs further treatments such as shampoo or stain-removal as needed Maintaining and upkeep of all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products Ensuring safe and sanitary storage and care of products Disposal of trash from bins and containers to appropriate disposal bins Clean and disinfect sinks, basins, and toilets in private and public bathrooms Cleaning windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors Assist in maintaining a clean and uncluttered office/production area including dusting / cleaning all surface areas, ceiling/floor vents and counter surfaces. Cleaning of cafeteria, including cleaning of tables, counters, chairs, refrigerators and microwaves Stock all paper and sanitary products in all facility areas Perform heavy cleaning tasks and special projects Maintain housekeeping standards of workstation Attend appropriate training and meetings as required Required Skills and Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent 0-1 years of janitorial cleaner experience Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage and disposal methods Ability to adapt to changing schedules or routines Excellent organizational skills and time management Self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision Physical Demands Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours Physically able to push a vacuum cleaner for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
