I have an amazing great dane English mastiff mix. His name is Groot and he is almost 4 years old (March 2 2018). We call him Grootle and Grooty-Toot too. I've had him since he was 8 weeks old. Please read ALL of post! Pros: He's amazing. He's house broken. He's non destructive when left unattended for hours at a time. He's kennel trained. He knows sit VERY well. He's fixed and UTD on shots. He's great around kids. He's huge. Cons: He CANNOT be around other animals, period. He has a VERY high prey drive and he is EXTREMELY dominant. He is dog aggressive. We have several other dogs and have tried separating, rehoming, retraining, behavior specialists... and unfortunately, it's just not safe for our other pets at this point to continue to try to keep him. We love him SO MUCH! We have tried everything. If we could get rid of all the other dogs and keep him, we very well might, but it's just not fair to all of them. He will do amazing in a 1 pet household with a comfy couch. There will be a rehoming fee of $200 and I'd love an "open adoption" where you send me pictures occasionally and I can send a text once in a whole to check up on him. ❤ Call or text Meg 334-733-o7o7
