Kipahulu Ohana, Inc. Food Distributor/Cleaner-Sanitizer Work under the supervision of the Executive Director and the Kitchen Manager to perform the following tasks: •Cleaning and sanitizing at the Kipahulu Kitchen, a shared-use certified commercial kitchen and agricultural processing center •Cleaning and sanitizing the tables and supplies used for Kipahulu Ohana booth weekly at the Hana Farmers Market •Cleaning and sanitizing equipment, supplies and vehicles used for food box/meal distribution •Assist other kitchen users with cleaning and sanitizing •Designing and installing signage related to COVID-19 safety requirements and guidelines at Kipahulu Kitchen •Educating and enforcing COVID-19 safety protocols at Kipahulu Kitchen •Assisting with the preparation of meals for home delivery to seniors and other vulnerable persons in remote areas of Kipahulu, Kaupo and Kahikinui •Delivering meals, food boxes and other groceries to households with vulnerable persons so they don’t have to leave Kipahulu to go shopping in crowded, higher-risk environments •Outreach to community members in need about opportunities for home delivery Requirements and Qualifications: •High school diploma or GED certificate preferred. •Some cleaning experience required. •Attention to detail, and ability to adapt to changing situations. •Physical stamina; safety oriented. Work Hours: 40 hrs/week Schedule: Varies Starting Salary: $16.00/hr Start: Immediate Length of Assignment: ~6 months, depending on operational needs. *This position is part of a Statewide Dislocated Worker Grant (DWG) program.
