Come celebrate music and books with the mother-daughter team behind the story and illustrations of "The Piano," a recently released children's picture book. Bring your readers and musicians of all ages to the book's launch party at the Portland Piano Company for an afternoon of reading, coloring and live music. If you have a copy of "The Piano," bring it with you to get signed! Or, you can purchase a copy at the event. Masks are required for all guests. "The Piano," released by Black Rose Writing publisher on February 3, shows that learning to play an instrument is more than practicing and performing – it’s a lifelong friendship. From the first time they meet, young Katie and the Piano become best friends. But one day, Katie leaves for college leaving the Piano behind.
