Join the Surfrider Foundation (MA Chapter) on Saturday, January 29th at 11:00am for a morning beach cleanup along George Lane Beach! Join the Surfrider Foundation MA Chapter on Saturday, January 29th at 11:00am for a morning beach cleanup along George Lane Beach in Weymouth, MA! All participants should preregister for this cleanup if possible! Additional details will be sent to registered participants ahead of the event, as well as the required waiver forms. While we expect to be set up at the beach from approximately 11am-1pm, please come for however long you can. Please bring your own reusable work/garden gloves for this cleanup! (and dress warm!!)Wear comfortable shoes, as it may be a bit rocky in some areas.We’ll still provide sanitized buckets and tools for trash collection, as well as gear for data collection and plenty of hand sanitizer.Location: We will have a blue "Surfrider" flag set up to help direct you to us, but we plan to set up on the beach area in front of the parking lot! We will send out an email to registered volunteers if we need to change the meeting spot for any reason, and I will be checking emails if you are unable to find us! COVID-19: While we'll be respecting social distancing measures during the event, please carefully consider the risks of attending. Stay home if you or someone you are in close contact with is in a high-risk group, has recently had any symptoms, or suspects recently being exposed.
