Description
We are pro keys, bass and drums-looking for a jazz guitar for our regular Thursday night jazz jam. We're concentrating on Great American Songbook with vocals, with a sprinkling of straight ahead jazz(sans vocals) and mellow pop/rock.
We get together on a regular basis on Thursday 8-1030p in Framingham near Wayland line. (Exit 13 on Pike).
We also have a regular once-a-month paying gig. So on that Thursday, we will naturally do the gig instead of the rehearsal.
Repetoire:
Cole Porter
George Gershwin
Hoagy Carmichael
Harold Arlen
Lerner and Lowe
Richard Rogers
Frank Sinatra
Tony Bennett
However, I will need vocal breaks, so I'd like to do some mellower (for lack of a better word) jazz, like:
Wes Montgomery
Horace Silver
Thelonious Monk

Finished basement studio; no problem with parking. Drums are here and available.

I realize this is Herbie Hancock, and not a great american songbook standard! :)
When/if I hear from you, I will send samples of me singing and playing great american songbook standards.
Please send a clip/mp3 of you playing.
Hope to hear from you!
Thanks!
Mike
