None of MY posts makes ANY reference to or accusation of home-schoolers not letting their children play with other children; please direct that claim to someone who DID. As for "keeping the children away from radical viewpoints until they understood what they mean and how to respond to them", that's a noble sounding goal. But I haven't seen one pro home schooling post that says anything about integrating kids into the school system at some future time when they're more mature. If I was taught, or just picked up, some foreign idea at school or on the street, I'd talk to my parents about it. Over time, I worked out my own opinions. And, as new information comes in, or situations change, opinions SHOULD also be subject to change. I've done a 180 on LOTS of things. Read up on the "Dunning Kruger" effect. People who don't know much about a given topic virtually always overestimate their knowledge and expertise on that topic. That's why so many people on CL use the terms "Socialism" and "Communism" interchangeably. Home schoolers seem pretty cocksure that they've "got a handle" on EVERYTHING Lastly
