Join HOPE for its annual Latina Empowerment Day series. Latina Empowerment Days are a one-day intensive workshop series created to empower Latinas to increase their community impact and strengthen their skills and knowledge on a variety of issues including community leadership, advocacy strategies, and financial empowerment. Connect, recharge, and engage with fellow Latina leaders in your area! Speakers Include: -Senator Lena Gonzalez (State Senate District 33) -Long Beach City Councilwoman Mary Zendejas (District 1) -Director of Community Education Briana Calleros (SUMA Wealth) AGENDA 8:30 am Registration & Continental Breakfast 9:00 am Welcome Remarks 9:20 am Financial Check-Up: Redefining Financial Empowerment for Latinas 10:20 am Break 10:30 am Harnessing the Latina Narrative: Strategic Sharing for Latina Advocates 11:30 pm Lunch Break 12:00 pm Community Issues: Advancing the Latina Agenda through Policy and Representation 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm Closing Remarks The HOPE Latina Empowerment Day event will abide by all CDC and venue protocols and guidelines regarding COVID-19. We require that you wear your mask indoors — with the exception of when you are actively eating or drinking. Proof of Vaccination via your vaccination card will be required for entry into the event so please be sure to bring them with you.
