Description

Lead Marine is looking for motivated Mechanical/Electronic assembler to perform assembly and sub-assembly integration of custom and commercially designed equipment into electronics cabinets. With minimal supervision, build complicated assemblies, subassemblies and systems. Support Lead technicians with the required repair, installation, integration and testing of equipment, cables and sub-assemblies into electronic racks/assemblies utilizing established techniques and documentation. Responsibilities: • Assemble, repair and install/integrate equipment, cables and sub-assemblies into electronic racks/assemblies utilizing appropriate techniques and hand tools. • Perform self-inspection and testing of assemblies produced. • Must have the experience and knowledge to use test equipment to validate product quality and reliability.. • Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. • Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. • Under routine supervision, performs a variety of semi-complex electro/mechanical tasks in the buildup and assembly of chassis, power supplies, PCBs, cables and backplane assemblies. Experience: • 2 - 4 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly of highly technical products in a manufacturing or installation environment. • Familiarity and experience with electronic assembly and component installation through subassembly and top-level assembly integration processes • Experience in installation and replacement of cable assemblies. Preferred Skills • Experience in the installation and assembly of electronic/mechanical systems onboard Naval Vessels, Submarines, and Shore Facilities • Shall possess a moderate level of computer proficiency. • Possess, or be able to obtain, a U.S. Government security clearance to be able to provide assistance at government sites during the installation to repair or replace faulty equipment. The installation and replacement/repair assistance may require the Assembler to visit naval bases and work onboard ships and/or submarines.
