ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Complies with all safety standards and rules including proper PPE. Fully understands and utilizes proper Lockout/Tagout technique when cleaning powered equipment. Uses proper cleaning materials & supplies for all items being attended to.      Continuously cleans all areas of shop floor including but not limited to: machines, floors, walls, quality & shipping offices, bathrooms, ceilings, drinking fountains & sinks. Weekly cleaning of front office including dusting, vacuum, wipe down of all surface areas Keeps all bathrooms within facility stocked at all times with materials such as toilet paper, paper towels & soap.   Replaces lighting as needed.  Proactively empties all trash bins & cans within the facility by moving waste to the proper larger bins located in the exterior of the building.  Proactively empties scrap metals from shop floor to the proper location on the exterior of the building.  Visually inspects exterior of facility to ensure any loose trash is placed in the proper bin.  Responsible for all lawn care & landscaping needs of facility. Assists with general maintenance needs when requested by supervisor. Skills Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices Attention to detail and conscientiousness Very good physical condition and strength High school diploma  Compensation:         $15 - $17/hour         Paid holidays         Health insurance option after 60 days of employment. Katy Spring covers 75% of health care cost for the employee. Multiple insurance plans to choose from Dental, vision, and dependents also optional        401k after 1 year of employment, currently Katy Spring offers a 3% match.                     Schedule is Mon-Fri 6:00am – 2:30pm
