Project a professional and competent image to provide the resort owners and guests with friendly and superior customer service when arriving at the resort. The primary function of the Welcome Attendant is to greet all rental arrivals in a friendly and professional manner, first bringing them from the resort arrival bay to the real estate office to check-in and then escorting them to their rental property and assist the guest in correctly parking their motorcoach on the lot. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to picking up the resort garbage and emptying the pet waste stations during season and other maintenance responsibilities as they may arise and as directed by the property Maintenance Supervisor. Duties and Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet the business needs of the resort. The Welcome Attendant will perform all pre-arrival lot inspections to ensure everything is in order for the upcoming arrival. The Welcome Attendant must greet all new rental arrivals in the resort arrival bay upon entering the resort. The Welcome Attendant is to bring the rental arrival to the real estate office to check-in and then apply a barcode to the guest vehicle so they can exit and re-enter the resort, for the duration of their stay. The Welcome Attendant will escort all new rental arrivals to their lot and assist the guest in correctly parking their motorcoach on the lot. The Welcome Attendant will assist the guest in making all of the necessary connections to the property pedestal (water, sewer and electric) and in setting up the internet gateway to ensure that the internet signal is adequate and that the guest is connected to the property Wi-Fi. The Welcome Attendant will answer any questions that the guest may have and refer the guest to the management office for a new guest orientation. (Orientation for stays greater than (7) days in length) The Welcome Attendant will perform all post-departure lot inspections to ensure the lot is ready for the next arrival. The Welcome Attendant will always use proper greeting when addressing a new resident or guest arrival. Greet ALL residents or guests with “Good Morning, Good Afternoon, or Good Evening. Welcome to The Pelican Lake Motorcoach Resort. My name is (your name), I am here to assist you!” This script must be adhered to without exception. The Welcome Attendant will need to help flow of traffic for all events and/or motorcoach setups. The Welcome Attendant will pick up all resort garbage (during season) and pet waste stations and dispose of in the resort compactor or recycling bin. Additional maintenance responsibilities as they may arise or as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. Work Environment This position is located in the resort clubhouse and real estate office. The working environment maybe both indoors and outdoors. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 30 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a transition to Saturday and Sunday coverage as needed in high season. This schedule may change to accommodate the business needs of the resort. Travel No travel is expected for this position. Required Education and Experience A positive attitude and willingness to work with a diverse population. High school diploma or GED. Superior customer service and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented and dependable. Position Supervision Employee reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
